Julie loves the creativity, community, connection to the present moment, inner balance, physical strength and mobility that yoga offers - wow that's a lot of good stuff! Yoga has been a critical component of Julie's life since she began her yoga journey 11 years ago; her work in physical poses has built confidence and strength and pairing intentional breath with physical movement has benefited her mental clarity. Julie also enjoys incorporating sound through mantras as part of her classes to increase internal vibration and connect more deeply to body, mind and spirit.
Julie graduated from Satya Yoga in Saugatuck, MI's 200 hour YTT in 2021 and is an E-RYT 200 instructor with Yoga Alliance, trained in Hatha Yoga.
In Julie's classes you will find well-sequenced flows which inspire joy and balance of the breath and physical movement. She teaches with specific alignment cues for improving joint mobility and promoting a healthy spine for improved posture. Her classes offer options to go deeper into poses as well as variations to take the poses to more gentle modifications when her yogis desire. As a part of class, you will increase physical strength and flexibility as well as build a deeper sense of physical and mental wellbeing - regular yoga practice has the ability to open the physical body, heart and mind. Julie will also incorporate the beautiful Sanskrit language in addition to intentional English alignment cues.
