Music and Sound Therapist
Jenn Gietzen, MT-BC, is a board certified music therapist, certified sound therapist who is deeply passionate about supporting people's well being and health with music and sound. She has been practicing music therapy since 2001 after graduating from Michigan State University and sound therapy since 2021, certified through Sound Embrace.
Jenn provides her services in schools, hospice, nursing homes, corporate wellness programs, yoga studios, wellness centers as well as in her private practice. Her sessions integrate music and sound, mindfulness, breathwork, creativity and movement and are uniquely tailored for each individual or group depending on the needs and goals. These sessions can include any combinations of deep relaxation with sound (aka sound baths), guided visualization, breathwork, vocal toning, singing, playing instruments, creative movement, song writing and lyric discussion to support mental, emotional, physical and spiritual health.
The felt sense of freedom, expression, connection and release of unwanted patterns of thought and behavior that these modalities can help support is what inspires Jenn to continue to deepen her work in the field and to provide these forms of therapy in an open, warm and inviting space for you to just BE in, with ease and comfort. Her intention is that you begin to see more clearly who you truly are, a whole and unique human being with real life ups and downs.
Anyone can benefit from her services but she specializes in working with those with high stress, anxiety, depression, loss, disconnection, loneliness, and lack of life purpose.
Jenn's sessions are for individuals, couples, families and small and large groups of all ages and abilities. No experience with music or sound necessary.
Jenn provides the following Trio Services: Group Sound Bath, Individual Transformative Sound, Breath, and Mindfulness Session.
