Gayle Shumaker

Gayle is a Limited Licensed Psychologist (LLP) and a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC). She has been a mental health provider for over 25 years in a variety of settings and has been in private practice since 2004. She has additional training in the treatment of trauma, auricular acupuncture, and biofeedback.

Gayle enjoys clients with diverse backgrounds, experiences, and problems. She provides support and shares her expertise in an approach that is holistic in focus and that seeks to make a difference in client's day-to-day lives. During their sessions with Gayle, clients can expect to work toward their personal goals in ways that achieve more awareness, emotional stability, and effective behaviors.

Gayle provides therapy for individuals who are 13 years or older, and for couples. A variety of approaches may be used. Gayle's primary concern is creating an effective, individualized, and holistic approach for each client.

Presenting issues might be: Depression, Bipolar disorder, Anxiety Disorders, Trauma/PTSD, Couple conflicts, LGBTQIA concerns, Stress, including related medical problems, and Life transitions.

Gayle provides the following Trio services: Mental Health therapy/counseling, HeartMath Biofeedback, and Auricular Acupuncture.
